If you check them each season before you hunt you could hang ribbons in the trees on your trail but make sure you remove them so someone else don't find it.

They make these things called a gps, you can mark important locations and the GPS will take you right there.

I do that and if I am unfamiliar with the area I will take a picture of the exact tree I want to hunt out of and save it to the gps file. If I get close and can't find it I look up the pic of the tree. Bam.

Two mores bucks came in below me both shooters, one plenty big enough and the other a 2" spike, loli grunted and they came up the hill, got behind some green briar and disappeared. I think k they bedded down. I would check w/ my binos but didn't bring them b/c I didn't want to get them wet. Saw slight movement but not positive. Looks like I'm sitting for a while. 1541423800732.jpeg

Very slow morning so far. I haven't seen a single deer which is most unusual here.

Good luck this morning guys. I'll be out this afternoon. Was gonna head out this morning but yesterday went and picked up a blind to put on platform I built and didn't pay attention and grabbed wrong one. So one i got is to big and won't fit. Dumb mistake and kinda sucks cause woulda been a nice blind to use. So I'm heading in now to exchange it.

Heading in soon for second shift hunting today. About 11 to dark. I haven't hunted in a week and my quest for my VA public land buck trifecta begins now. I know exactly where I want to be, but the winds will not cooperate so I can't hunt the spot. So I picked a spot I have never stepped foot. Muzzleloaders are in the woods now in VA and I picked a spot a mile from any public land entrance and a half mile from any private entry. Good cover on a tight long ridge. Not sure what to expect but lets do it!

Just checked the chip I don't get it have never seen this happen ever, looks like all but 3 fawns have just left, gone. I am used to seeing 12-15 deer every sit and they vanished.

100% this. Every time I'm on my way to our land (especially during rifle season) I just think back on the conversations and hunts I had with my dad. What I would give for one more opportunity to have him along on one of my hunts.

Just had a doe blow at me about 20 time. Just milling around. Does that usually mean hunt over? Or stick it out?

It means kill her and continue hunting. Or just continue hunting.
