    Froze this morning, got 5 degrees colder than forecast. Dressed for the afternoon.

    Slow start, then at 7:51 a 2 1/2 something or other chased a doe up the ridge behind me. Couldn't count or see length of tines but he was wide. 8:45 a single grunt, then at 9:15 a lot of grunting and rustling directly downwind of me, then it stopped and nothing since.
