Good morning in the tree. Got rained on some but saw a few deer. The young bucks were on their feet so hopefully in the next week or so the bigger boys will be cruising as well. Off to work and then trick or treating with the wife and kids this evening.
Good luck to anybody that will be out this afternoon!

Great story Tony! Congrats again! It doesn’t matter what the rack scores, if you kill a buck that old it’s a true trophy in my book!

Not live but updating my sits since we have been getting ready for baby. I have been out times. 1st time got in early sat over food and saw nothing. 2nd sit sat over looking a wooded bottom from a ridge looking out to 40 acres of mowed crp but saw 25. Closest one was 4pt at 40 yards everything else 100-200 yards out, still had a blast. 3rd sit me and friend sat in my blind over cut corn got in 1 1/2hr before day light 20 min before legal light against the gray sky I see antlers walking at us stops 5 yards in front of blind and eats for 10 min. Looked like a very nice 8pt. Tryed to draw and it was to dark to locate him in my peep. So I decided the right thing to do was not even try. 4th sit me and another friend same set up just evening had 5 does for over an hour but just kept checking the woods line so I was waiting for more deer or a buck to come out. Should have shot the big doe. Then my 5th sit evening over the corn again but it has been tilled now. As I walked in camp in on a beded buck little guy. So I hid behind a bush and grunted till he got up and walked in the woods. I had 3 does come with in 10 yards but didn't stop long enough for a shot and then 2 more came in to my west blew once because my sent was drifting that way or crossed my walk in path but never really spooked. The a small buck came out and chased them off. All fun and great experiences.

Didn’t get the birthday buck, won’t be out again until Saturday morning and it will be back to public land in PA, not crazy about my spot I had to do a last minute change because some genius put his stand about 50 yards from mine, might try to hang another stand here Friday night and hunt that all day Saturday, idk PA season is winding down and none of my spots are looking very promising

Sounds like you have had some close encounters. You'll get a shot soon. Be prepared and "aim small miss small"

I climbed down for the day, the wind was getting a little iffy. I had a pretty good morning, Saw a doe and fawn, followed by a 6pt. Later on the same trail a young wide 8pt, after that a fork came from the other direction, again on the same trail. They are starting to move around a little more so hopefully the bigger ones will follow suit soon.

Well not the day I hoped to have but I put up two new sets. Since I scared every deer in the woods putting up the first set I figured the damage was done might as well get a second set up. This will give me some better options.
    Good luck afternoon shift!

Well it's that time of the season I have started overthinking everything, it came kinda early this year.. time for a shower and heading out to sit in the stand and overthink everything.

Do any of y'all remember the episode of King of the Hill when Hank accidentally buys crack thinking it's some special fish bait.. wonder if it works on deer?

Yes I do one of my favorite! And to answer your question I wouldn't see why not. Just sprinkle it around like fertilizer in a food plot lol!
