I hear ya there. Nothing to brag about on my cameras yet either. How do you guys feel about the recent APR's being shot down? I know... touchy subject haha

It doesn't affect the way I hunt so it doesn't bother me none. It sure does make our state look bad though, tired of these spike memes for Michigan lol

    Hey everyone,
Originally from down river but up in Lansing now. Anyone check out the shop in Saint John's, Country Woods? Any good?

Luckily I'm in Barry county but it's still way to close for comfort. I think the Michigan deer population is in trouble if the majority take advantage of the ridiculous license and seasons being introduced. 10 Doe Tags!!! Thats Nuts!

I don't think that's going to affect the kill rate much. With crossbows being open to everyone; more hunters are hunting earlier during "archery" than dealing with the late season weather and pressure. People are still going to hunt opening day/weekend of gun season hard but that's about it. I've noticed a big increase in early season pressure and big drop off in late November since they opened up crossbows. Plus, below the rifle line more and more people are using muzzle loaders since they are getting to be more accurate than a slug gun at longer ranges.

I know in our area after the first couple of days of gun season it drops off drastically. We hardly see any hunter or hear gun shots at all.

Grand Traverse County here. Tons of public land to hunt up here and enough deer to keep it fun. With the APR instituted in this region, we are seeing some really nice bucks! I never saw him while hunting but got a picture of a really nice 8 point on camera last year. Saw some really nice 6 points last year that I let live another year (if no one else got them) that should be shooters this year. Only problem is people messing with your spot! I have had 2 trail cams stolen in 2 years! Locked up with a trail cam box to boot!

Anyone hear about the freak shot in Washtenaw county? Check out the "Sypris and Sargent Deer Tracking" Facebook page to see this pig. Looks like it will score well over 200"!!:jaw:

Yes he’s a giant! How’s your season going this year man? I’m pretty certain that we were on a team together last year.
