I will be getting out tomorrow as well. There is some public property on my road I used to hunt quite a bit but it is all heavily used walking trails. Havent been in a couple of years to this particular piece but it used to be a farm and there is a big overgrown pasture with a strip of timber about 40 yards wide that seperates it from a working farm (private) with some kind of ag fields and connects two small blocks of timber that I have a gut feeling they bed in. Hopefully it plays out well! Good luck team!

Lots of shooters popping up on camera. On one property, there are 2 bucks I would take and 3 others that will be hard to pas (1 has a broken brow so that may save him). I hunted 4 sits last weekend (Saturday/Sunday). Saturday PM I saw 6 bucks and saw 2 shooters (tall narrow 10 and another I couldn't fully ID as he came in real late). No shot opportunities on either. Sunday was slower. I will be pulling all dayers Fri/Sat/Sun this weekend. Good luck all!

Whats going on team? I've been working a lot. Supposed to rain the next few days but Monday looks good. Going to help a buddy put up a ladder stand in a few minutes. Sunday I'm going to check out a spot I found earlier and I may prep a tree or two. Hope all is well with all of you!

I sat out yesterday and it was a really nice afternoon. I was sitting on sone DNR property and I saw a doe come out behind me and instead of working her way towards me she headed out onto some private property, I guess thats why its called hunting. If this rain holds off I will try getting out tonight. My friend called me yesterday (he hunts about 5 miles away) and told me he saw 5 does in the field he was sitting on and at last light a buck came in and started pushing one of the does around. Things are heating up! Good luck

I'm going out this weekend to hunt. Temps will be in the 40s in the morning and as of now, no rain. The only issue is I don't have a spot that works well with a south wind and that's what I'm looking at. I'm hoping my heavy scent control and being 30 ft up in a tree will help. The winds will be light (>5mph gusts) so I'm banking on the fact that being so high will take my scent up instead of out. My main spot is good about carrying scent up.

I’ve been ML hunting this week. Seen plenty of doe and fork horns. No big bucks. Got this guy showing up on my Bow Lease now.

I pulled into the farm here I Missouri at noon today. Between noon at 1 we saw 5 deer running around the field chasing eachother around.. A couple being doe. 1 shooter buck and a couple smaller basket 8s. Took the ranger down the road and pulled into the field and saw 2 more small bucks. I made it to the stand and had a spike and a fork come in looking for a doe at about 2pm. An hour before dark I had 3 doe directly underneath my stand and made their way back deep into the woods. Right at last light I had a 5 point come in and held me in the stand a little after dark before I was able to get down without spooking him.

Seems like things are getting interesting out here. Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings!

Well I had the call to go to Missouri to hunt today. My wife called me before I left and said something was wrong with our little boy. Long story short he got bit by something on the hand. They think a copperhead or brown recluse spider. They admitted him to the hospital so we’ll be here for a few days. He’s starting to perk up a little bit still very sore and very tired.

Has anyone had any luck with deer tracking dogs? I stuck a buck this morning and had good blood for a few hundred yards and we decided to play it safe and stopped. I got a hold of a tracker that's supposed to be coming up here this evening.

Hey Sooner I hope your son heals up quickly. As for the tracking dogs I have no experience because here in good old Massachusetts, the use of tracking dogs, along with just about everything else is illegal.
