I have a blood Deer tracking Catahoula dog so Im very familiar with the laws, and no, Illinois does not have a right to track / recover on private property. Plus the neighbor that wont let me recover the buck is a retired police officer and he is also very familiar with the law
Those deer still gotta eat ... get after them. Ive killed some good deer in lite rain or just after the rain stops.
Had a good friend whom did a double(buck/doe) in a lite rain scenario. I had supposed to go that weekend! Sent from my VS987 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
That really sucks Lady Forge! I’d be pretty pissed if that happened to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I am standing in the garage at work vacuuming out my pick up before leaving. It is windy as a bugger and pouring down rain. These two fed inside of 30yds, coming into 15yds at one point, for about 30 minutes. I finished, got in the truck and drove on past them into the front lot and they were no more concerned with me and the vacuum noise than anything. Now if they will just come visit me in the stand, that'd be great Sent from my SM-N950U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
My son drew out a special rifle hunt this morning. He got it done around 8am. She just happened to fall right in a hog wallow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Staying at my in laws this weekend. They have a few acres of wooded land that I'm going to go site at with my pop up blind. I'm not expecting much but there is a chance I'll get a doe. They have a couple bucks on this land. One of which is a bruiser but they told me I cant shoot him. They've been watching this deer the last 4 years and my father in law has dibs. Good luck out there! No hunting on Sundays here so I shot the bow a little and replaced a hang on stand I had out with a ladder stand. That spot can really only be hunted on a north wind so I will be watching the weather like a hawk Sent from my SM-N950U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Any luck team? Encounters? I’m off next 3, tomorrow looks like a perfect storm for my set up. No rain but ground soaked, stand already in place so all I gotta take is my bow and 1 climbing stick. It will be a very quiet approach from all the rain and scent has been washed away. Wind is good, bucks are becoming more active and working scrapes. Can’t wait see ya in the a.m Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It was and ugly rainy weekend here.. No luck. I leave early Saturday morning to head out to Missouri for a week of treestand time and hope find a guy Browsing or chasing! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
I had 3 doe come in yesterday morning. They are all feeding within 15 yards. Just holding off on one for a few weeks. Hoping to make my 2nd buck 50 points.
Seems like it's been a very wet summer for everyone this year. I know it's been very rainy in my area. Sent from my SM-G955U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I had spoke to a relative, who stays where I hunt. They have been getting more rain in the last week than where I live. The roads and soil . Sent from my VS987 using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
