    Hunting...

Just feeling blessed to have a wife that lets me golf and fish in the spring and summer. And hunt in the fall - I don’t get too much grief from her. Feeling fortunate regardless of my hunt tonight.

I am already soaked head to toe. Steady rain. Some real big rubs opened up in here since last weekend. Fingers crossed.

Update....... :bigcry:. Tracked for 350 ish yards with a drop of muscle blood every few yards the whole way. We didn’t push him as we found no bed and let him go overnight. He shot an NAP spitfire max so we believe he hit shoulder with little penetration. Shot was 37 yds. Never found arrow though. He put up 2 more cams. Hopefully we get pics of him and he’s ok. :sad:Oh yea and my fever is back. He’s going to ask for permission to grid search neighbors and try again tomorrow

Sitting in the tree stand I was planning to hunt on Monday. Cool and a much better wind tonight. Pretty stoked to be back in a tree, first time I’ve hunted this set this year. Deer were on their feet early, jumped 3 doe on the alfalfa as I was walking in. Good luck to everyone who is out tonight!

My buck is alive! Now I'm thinking my arrow deflected off the blind or a twig or something. 19 yards, I aimed heart and he didn't duck, thought I hit brisket. This is entrance side...

Honestly she’s a keeper. We never even had a honeymoon and she lets me hunt quite a bit

Try being a roofer with 30+ contracts that need to be roofed and listening to the weather boobs say no rain and the very second you start tearing off a roof it starts raining. These last three months have been totally unpredictable when it comes to weather.

So I hunt on private land next to about a 150 acre wooded deer sanctuary that also doubles as a very nice off road mountain bike trail system... It a blessing and a curse.

These guys riding by just now (on the trail mind you) talking loud enough that I can hear them - “that was a pretty nice buck!” “Another doe ahead on the trail - yep their it goes”...

Meanwhile I haven’t seen shhhhhyt. Apparently I should have just went mountain biking tonight.

Well not looking good for me tonight. No deer and only have a few minutes of light left in here. What a long day!
