Team, Sorry I haven’t posted here but I have been in the woods and have not killed anything. I will be taking leave in the next 2 weeks and be in the woods every day. Keep it up team!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Whew. Taking pictures in the dark when your phone has less than 10% battery so the flash won't work is a chore in and of itself! I hunted the ladder stand this morning and saw the fork 4 and a doe and two fawns within an hour of sunrise. I was 2 steps from arrowing the doe this morning and she busted me when I turned to set up, thought she was far enough behind a tree I could move but she caught me. Went in around 11 and ate lunch then moved my climber to the other side of the hill. Climbed in around 1 for the evening. Honestly I was thinking about letting this girl walk, the 6 pt I can't seem to kill ran by about 20 minutes before her but he was bookin it and was on the next flat down from me so the closest he got was about 55yds and there was a ton of brush/limbs in the way so no way I could get at him. I was hoping he was gonna come back when I saw this doe cross up the hill about 60 yards out in front of me, turn and head straight at me. She got to 25yds and just kept lookin at me...within 15yds and she's lookin, stompin, turns around to bolt and I knew it was either put her down or she was about to blow my site and I'd literally just moved my climber down there at like noon today! So I waited for her to get out from under a little limb that was in my way and as soon as she walked into the crosshairs I launched my arrow and I knew she was toast just from her reaction. Watched her make it about 50 yards straight out from me and she took the tumble. No sooner had I emptied her out than I heard the yotes yelping across the creek so I went ahead and deboned everything before I packed it in for the night. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Thanks! Rained all day yesterday and pretty much all day friday too so this has been a long weekend but I'm gettin a few more hours in this morning before it's back to the real world for another week. Saw this little guy this morning and watched him for 20 minutes or so before I had to suck some snot. This cold is messing with my hunting. That's 3 deer in the probably 5 maybe 6 hours I've put in this spot this weekend that were within 50yds. The doe and this spike this morning both came with 10. May just leave the climber here until next weekend when I come back and then adjust during that week when I'm here. 5 days of work then I got another 11 days to spend in the woods, I love deer season! Texas Parks & Wildlife recently filmed a short "postcard" video in my home county. None quite this big on the properties I have to hunt at the moment.
Nice buck congrats we sure are starting to add up some points guys! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
