Heading out after work to enjoy at least an hour and a half of this cold front.

This rain is about gone! Think I’ll go sit and try to take advantage of this cold front! Should be a fun and exciting evening.

Guys, this year has started off pretty bad. I’ve been in the woods 6 times now and have yet to see a single hair off a deer lol. I go to one stand and all the deer go to the other and vice versa. There has been 8 deer killed up there already and I still haven’t seen my first one.... I’ve never had a year like this in all my hunting days! I’m gonna try and turn that around tomorrow morning! Good luck to all of y’all hunting.

I will be trying a new stand position this Saturday morning. I just havent seen the movement I thought I would in the mornings in my main stand. I'm also counting down the days until my vacation and can't wait! 9 days

Well guys the decent 10 on public I was after got by me Wednesday morning. Came in about 80yds through the creek bottom, made a new scrape, and went the other direction out through the bottom. It's now closed for bowhunting, but there is a youth gun hunt going on now at that piece. There are also 2 more quota gun hunts after the youth hunt and then it closes completely. Going to hang a camera there after it closes to see what survives those hunts. Probably going to scout/hunt another tract of public this afternoon. I've been going to different pieces of public that I've hunted before, but I have been checking out places that I've been interested in. Seems to be working just got to get it all to come together. Good luck to everyone going hunting this weekend!

Well guys, my work load has doubled. My helper is in the hospital so my hunting is very limited now. The rut is about to be in full swing so hopefully this weekend (opening day of muzzleloader season) I can get it done. I don’t gun hunt but I will be out there. I did have a new buck show up that has become my number target buck. Hope all of y’all are doing good and seeing lots of deer.

I haven't had a chance to get back into the woods since I killed my buck. Last weekend, a few of us traveled out to central Kansas for a coyote hunt. It was some pretty tough conditions, but we ended up taking out 6 coyotes. Had a few more opportunities as well where we just didn't seal the deal. Overall, had a great time. Next weekend we'll be in St. Louis for my daughter's softball tournament. After that, things should start to clear out a little and I should have some time to get back in the woods. Rifle season, and a second buck tag starts Nov. 10th, so I'm looking forward to getting back out there and hunting the rut.

Sorry guys I'm trying to get it done. This season has started off very tough. Sat in the stand all day, perfect wind, good cool temp, great barometric pressure and didn't see a darn thing besides a couple squirrels. Talk about a frustrating day. Hopefully I'll get back out Sunday, if not it will be next Wednesday morning.

I know but usually I have already filled two tags already. Frustrating but gives me a higher hope for the rut this year.

I've refrained from checking the score board but could help myself. It's awesome to see we are in the lead.

Going to be a good weekend I am going to hunt Sunday instead of watching the Packer game, going to be raining off and on my favorite conditions.

Pulled the chip this morning kinda disappointing. I have 5 bucks showing up 1 decent buck with 1 side broke off and 1 other 10 past his ears but not much mass. I know more will come in the next couple of weeks I sure hope so been watching and passing on deer like this the last two seasons . I want to shoot a damn buck.
