Sat in the stand this morning. 2.5 year old buck is limping badly. Right back leg is noticeably swollen, wounded and infected. He did not look good. So I burned a tag to put him out. Waste of a animal as he really would have been a nice buck in 3 more years. And to make.matters worse. He made me go for a swim to get him. Team 3 October 24 945am. Equipment in signature. Team 17 - Fear No Deer Shot 10/24 at approx. 7:40 AM on a rainy morning in central Texas. I also filmed the shot with my Tactacam 2.0 but the poor camera didn't have enough light to make a decent image. It was raining so I had put away my Canon camcorder. I did take it out for the recovery and filmed myself looking somewhat frantically for blood before it washed away. Score is as follows (this is the first time I've done this but it seemed pretty straight forward). So a gross score of 106 6/8 The bow is a 2016 Ben Pearson Rhino X Broadhead is a QAD Exodus 125gr with the swept back blades (it's in perfect shape and ready to go back to work) Arrow is a Black Eagle Rampage The Rest is a QAD HDX Ultrarest I'm on the field staff for Trinity Archery who made the excellent "The Rock" dampener that goes between the bow and the stabilizer. In my case I've got an 8" shaft from a Trinity T3 with the Tactacam mounted on the end. That set up really kills the noise transmitted to the camera on the shot.
