On my way out I checked the back edge of the property I hunted today. Found a nice active scrape line. Hung a cam on the biggest one. Wont be back there till Friday. See what if anything shows up.
Back at it this afternoon on a different property. 20181022_093342.jpg

Maybe time to put a second stand up 10-15 yards on the other side of where they laid down?

Congrats to those of you who scored, my day was as follows, hoping Tony would see a buck and shoot it but at least he saw deer. I had the buck blow on me, caught me moving . It was way cool for Tony to see that Fisher and not cool at the same time.

Now Tony is on is way back to NY. It was great to see you my old friend (both ways old in age and it's been a long time since we saw each other). Either way it was great to share a beautiful morning with you in the woods .See you next week Monday or Tues

So apparently I've been living under a rock....I just discovered the treestand wingman...

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075MKNWBM/ref=twister_B01MYNEN83?_encoding=UTF8&th=1

This could get me back in a tree next year.

If I fall because of a balance issue, I live.
If I feel like I'm having stroke symptoms, I drop down to the ground, only adding perhaps a 30 second delay to calling 911.

    Game changer!!

Out on public ground today. Walked over a mile up a mountain, along a ridge, and down the back of it to a small oak grove on the edge of a young line thicket. Already seen four walking in. Hoping to get one

Our local Walmart has descendents to. I don't think they were that expensive either.

Just realizing i’ve Made a major blunder. When scouting I took a compass reading to be sure I came in here on the right wind. Somehow the reading was off and i’m Not in the position I thought I was. Wind is marginal at best. After 2 hours of hiking and careful stand setting i’m Now worried i’ve Screwed up. Hoping the scent free bag, ozone machine and scent control in the shower buy me enough time if something happens from the ridge I was planning on hunting.
