Congrats, Van! I hope we can have some success this season. As a team, were almost the last to score! Hopefully, that all changes soon.

Temps are just now where they’re suppose to be. Our teams action will pick up. All of us have only been in stand a handful of times. Stay positive

Van, I haven't had the opportunity to have a sit at the stand. Either, weather, work, or personal, has keep me from the woods. If this weather holds, maybe a Sun. sit will be in the plans!

Morning sit was a bust. I'm getting sick of all this rain. It rained until 11:30 so doubt the deer move much today. On the plus side, I pulled my trail camera card today and look what came through this week. I put up a scrape dropper last sunday and man did it work. I've got 2 really good bucks and one smaller but still decent buck coming through. Now just need one to stop by tomorrow and I'm set. You can see the dripper hanging from the tree. 20181020_144548.jpeg 20181020_144856.jpeg 20181020_145544.jpeg

I havent had pictures of bucks all year. Put that scrape scent dripper up and got those three this week. I have to admit I was doubtful.

Have you had the time to scout that area, we were discussing?

I dont think I've been in a tree this early before. Woke up at 2:45 and by 3:15 decided that if I'm not going to go back to sleep, might as well be in a tree so here I am. Look down and all I see is darkness. I hope one of those big boys gives me a shot today.

I’ll get a doe shot sometime in the next few weeks. I could literally go out and day and get one in a hour. Not trying to be in any hurry with that one since my family has 3 down so far.

I've hunted this stand four times so far and I've seen deer every time. They were always in the same spot when I spotted them about forty yards away and never gave me a shot.Three out of the four times they stuck around for 45 minutes to an hour and yesterday they even bedded down. I suddenly realized yesterday that I've made two mistakes. One my treestand is in the wrong spot and I should set up my camera arm and camera. Today I went to my stand and set up another stand closer to where I was seeing the deer and tomorrow I will be in it.

Had a doe walk directly under me and behind me. Never got a shot. Pulled my card on the way out and this buck came back last night. I think hes a 2 1/5 yr old looking at his body. If I was on private land, I'd probably let him walk and he'd be a giant next year but since this is public land, I'll stick him if he comes out during the day. 20181021_203913.jpeg 20181021_203506.jpeg 20181021_203329.jpeg
