For those living under a rock (or in a tree) that missed the recent announcement, we're planning on increasing the frequency of BHOD episodes this fall. We'll be doing at least 2 per week, possibly more depending on content availability and time. The current plan is Tuesday evenings and the same Friday mornings as usual.

The Tuesday shows will be a little less "fluff" so no tech tips or trophy photo segments, and hopefully shorter in-studio interviews. These will be a little more down and dirty, more hunting footage and updates from the team.

Hope everyone enjoys it! Going to be a lot more work, but it should be fun. It's certainly a labor of love.

I caught it. You can tell you guys need to knock the rust off. I'm sure from here on out they will be on point. I did have to ask though Justin are you sure you switched out your field tips to a broadhead on that doe shot. Seemed like a done deal when you got a shot at the puddle of red foam. Happens to the best of us. Luck just has not been on your side at all this hunting season. Got my hopes up the tables will turn for you and you end with a great season.

I was wondering if it was a mechanical that failed to deploy; shot placement looked too good.

LOL - yeah, I'm sure there was a broadhead on the arrow. It was a Thunderhead Nitro, not a mechanical. Although in hindsight I wish I had a Spitfire or an FOC on there with that shot. But that's life I guess.

In retrospect the only thing I can think of was that I got low single lung, then caught the diaphragm and part of the guts. I actually found some corn/stomach matter on the trail which really confused me. It's possible that we bumped her out of a bed and that's why the trail went as far as it did. I never saw or heard her, and never found what I thought was a bed but who knows. It's still puzzling to me.

That's crazy I would not have expected to find guts either.

The first piece of corn I found I thought was a fluke - maybe something a squirrel brought into the woods. However I kept finding more and more of it, covered in blood and brown slime.

Anatomy charts are all different but if you look at the very bottom of the lungs behind the leg they angle up quite a bit. You've then got the diaphragm running through there and then the small stomach pushes right up against that. My guess is I punched right through the center of all that and clipped a little bit of everything. Not enough lung to kill her right away, but definitely lethal.

I wish the cameras were rolling when Graf jumped up out of his chair like he just got shot. It was pretty funny. We had to cut out most of that footage due to the excessive amount of swearing coming out of Todd's mouth.

For some reason, I really can't picture Todd swearing. Just seems odd :eek2:

Watched the latest mid-week episode last night. I like how it jumped right into the action. I think it also lends to the, for lack of a better term, history of the set-up or plot. Super impressed with the plot Justin was on, that was just lush.
