Got a sit in of Friday night, saw 26 deer, a handful of which were little bucks. Nothing Close enough to shoot. Pulled some cards and have some decent bucks on camera, unfortunately My bowhunting will dwindle until after gun season, and with me having to buy NR doe tags this year (my buck tag is lifetime'd and free) I am not going to hesitate to shoot does with my gun. At $80/pop, Im gonna make good use of them lol. Bucks will be as always, 3 year olds die no matter what I hunt with, so there is a chance I will shoot one with my gun too :( If not, I have plenty of season after with my bow.

I passed the one on the left Oct 11th.....actually walked up on him bedded down and he stared at me for 20 min before getting up and walking past me at 15 yards LOL. Didn’t have the heart to end my season that early. Back at it Thursday and Friday with some nice low temps rolling in.

    Congrats on the kills guys.
I've had does in range, but twice now dink bucks have chased them off. I've also been out tracking with my girls and they've picked up two notches in their collars so far.

Well it looks like some people are starting to find success in the woods. Hopefully activity starts to pick up. It was in the 30’s for the first this season this weekend. I’ve only been in the woods about 5 times, going to get out this afternoon

My best sit yet was this afternoon. I tracked a friend's buck in the morning and was in the saddle by 2pm. I saw 14 deer and got to draw on a doe, but the shot angle disappeared as I came to settle... Several bucks were harassing does today.
    Nice job Al!

I shot my "earn-a-buck" doe and will post her in the scorecard in a day or two.

Have not been real active on here but I have 3 weeks in Illinois starting today. Looking for one of those Illinois giants. Good luck everyone will not be long and the bucks will be running

What part of Illinois are you hunting? I'm going up October 31 and hunt a few days. I'll be in southern Illinois.

This guy needs a closer look. Trying to get out this afternoon if the rain let's up.

    Hey guys,

Wondering if any of you use Ozonics or ozone generators? Had an interesting encounter yesterday morning. I wash in the mornings with the scent free green soap. Store all my gear in scent lock storage bag and wear scentlok from head to toe with rubber boots. Two does walked in down wind from me. They definitely smelled something unfamiliar but never snorted at me. Just nose in the air smelling then walked off another way. Just wondering if you guys have had deer act like that around an ozone machine?
