Second night in a row seeing old girthy bases. 62 yards on my off wind side. He just fed right through. Ugh.

Just as I hit send a doe and a fawn popped out from where I’ve never seen them come out before and then head where I’ve never seen them go before

They sure do know how to pose. Had a new one show up but I think he could possibly be one I had on camera from last year

Nothing here. Wind hasn’t worked well for me but I’ve tried to make the best of it. Was in hour and a half early today. Had a single deer mill around for a long time out in front of me and then seemed like it bedded down. Think the earth swallowed him up because it just vanished. Crazy how that works.

Sunday’s wind will be better so hopefully I can get back out.

I got in a little later than I’d liked to this morning but I’m here in a transition area between bedding and the fresh picked corn field let’s get it fellas!

Im back and yes still alive. In a tree this am. So far raccoons, sand sand cranes and one angry doe blowing off in the distance. Still a beautiful morning though. It's my daighters 2nd bday party today so not likely shooting a doe. Buck or bust with an hour to go.

This buck is really confusing me. I guessed him at 3 years old based on early season pics, but he's a freaking tank now. I passed on him opening weekend and probably would have pulled the trigger had he come 5 yards closer last night. I swear his rack is growing as his body swells. I skipped this morning, so you did better than me. The owners of my main property asked me not to hunt this weekend and the wind wasn't perfect enough for my other morning stands. I'll be back out tomorrow morning though.

I came out to split firewood for one of my property owners and they tell me there were 9 does in the yard this morning. I should have been out here! The local doe group is usually 3 + fawns.

Morning sit was dry thanks to my umbrella. Had a shot at a doe and 6 pt pecker head. But I was on property that is shooter only. Getting ready to go back out now.

Just me this am. He's then out this afternoon and I can't as it's my daughter's daughter's second birthday party. So not hunting much. Maybe tomorrow afternoon.

Up in the tree for the night! Inconsistent wind but I am in a brand new spot and it looks awesome. Decided not to pressure the big one I’ve seen the last two nights too much.
