Well I just had 2 bits of good news today!! First my son advanced to second round of the Pennsylvania high school district 3 golf championship which plays tomorrow. The second bit of good news and equally as good is that his tee time is 11:40 which means I can hit the woods in the morning until maybe 9:45. YEE HAW!!!! Only gonna shoot a buck though. I don’t want to miss any of his senior season golf matches chasing a doe around the woods. First morning hunt so I’m excited about that. History has proven that this property is more of an evening spot but have killed a handful in the am. Good luck to all other BNO boys hitting the woods tomorrow. Well guys, I’m finally going on my first deer this year but it’s not with a bow. I had to buy the sportsman license package here in Wisconsin to go duck hunting this morning and the package came with 2 deer tags and a small game license and it just happened to be the weekend of the gun deer youth hunt in Wisconsin! So My Aunts husband offered to take me out tonight to try and drop a deer! And I also shot my first duck this morning! View attachment 87160
Well saw deer this am but only thing close enough was a small deer that came in at first light and was literally sniffing the open bottle of evercalm I had sitting at the base of the tree. Pretty cool!!! I love that stuff. Can’t tell you how many times that has happened to me. On a high note missing tonight’s hint was worth it because my son tied for 8th in golf tourney today out of 76 kids and advanced to pa state regional high school tourney next week. One more good round and he will make it to pa state championship. Great stuff !!! So proud of him!!! It’s what he’s been working for the last 10 years or so. Went out to check on my feeder this morning and to my surprise there was a big black squirrel sitting under my feeder! I’ve seen quite a few in Wisconsin but I’ve never seen them down here. I also noticed that the deer have been hitting my salt lick! I’m hoping I’ll be able to go and check my trail cam today. And the icing on the cake is we’ve got a cold front coming in Wednesday! Well good news guys. Backed bow lbs down some, but been shooting all weekend and feeling pretty good. Shoulder a little sore but think I'm good to go. Got pins set at 15, 25, and 35. Getting 3 arrows in 3in group at 35 so I'm happy with that. Feel pretty good with as little I shot this summer. Looking forward to front coming though. Heading back home to Indiana tomorrow, about tired of this Alabama heat. Roll Tide Roll

Here in Ohio we have 85 degrees right now and by friday it's going to be 53 degrees.. If it does what they predict there will be allot of big deer hitting the ground this week in Ohio I've not been updating allot but i've had one real close encounter with one of my shooters and have been seeing allot of deer action but I hope I can seal the deal this weekend!
