Hello! I am a bowhunter from Montana that decided it would be beneficial to join a forum to get some tips and tricks for successful bow hunts. I am 37 years old, have hunted since I was 12 years old. Have had pretty good success hunting elk in the past decade with my rifle but would really like to start bowhunting more. I love the excitement of getting in close with elk during the rut. Unfortunately, the past two years it seems like the Elk in my area of Montana have quit talking. This is one of the biggest questions I have, has anyone else experienced a decrease in Elk vocalizations/rut behavior during the last couple of bow seasons?
