Sons first bow kill

    So proud of this kiddo he has worked for the past year since he got his bow to be strong enough to pull 35lbs so he can hunt this year. Hrs and hrs in the front yard he has practiced shooting his bow and on his second hunt in a tree by his self was able to connect on a healthy Oklahoma doe. He made a perfect shot and she only ran 60-80 yards.

    He just turned 11

    I’m sure some will ask why 35lbs Oklahoma law is 30.....he could pull 30 last year but I personally wanted him to pull 35 for a doe and 40 to shoot a buck. He is at 37lbs right now I assume after last night he will be at 40 soon lol.

    Awesome that the young man chose the hard path and worked his way to get to the level needed to hunt. Be proud of the way you are raising him to earn it.

    Congrats to your boy and to you! I know how proud you are. We got my boy a crossbow for his birthday and I'm hoping to get my 8 year old his first deer this season. I cant wait for this moment. Enjoy it brother!
