Team 20 -- Almost Legal

I don't have anything on camera at my lease that I would kill so I am staying out until around Halloween.

 

Been out a few afternoons this week after work. Had a few does and small bucks come by but nothing to make me draw back yet.

 

First day heading in now.

 

I planted a chicory food plot in my yard. These deer are tearing it up every night.

No deer but got rid of a coon

 

I have a couple on camera, but the problem is getting them on this property, in daylight, during season, while im in the stand.

 

Anyone else out?

 

I literally asked this and set my phone down and shot a doe.

 

So i was sitting there this morning at 9:30 ish and heard something. Then seen this coon playing. Been wanting to do a mount for awhile now so figured i would make it happen. Got down at 11 came home ate took a nap. Back in tree at 2:45. Playing on bow hunt or die forum. Look up to see deer right below me directly down wind. This doe winded me and blew, then walked 20 yards broadside. So had to shoot.

 

I am back out on public in Arkansas this afternoon. Stinking 90 degrees out but I am on a waterhole with a food plot and acorns falling so who knows

Team - I'm slow to post this year. Will be that way for a while however, I try to get out as much as I can. Usually only Saturdays. Had baseball this weekend so, did not make it.

Was out last weekend (the first day here) and had a small doe within 10-15 yards. Too young to shoot. Saw 3 others out of range while walking in. Was fun to take my 11 and 7-year-old with me. Have not checked cams but, I know there are big bucks in the areas I hunt so, not concerned.

Was hoping to get a few sits in at the end of the month but my son wants to visit 2 colleges this month so I am still hoping the day before and halloween. One of the schools were checking out is Iowa State. I know which one I would pick if I was him

 

Went out opening weekend in Ohio and didn't see anything. Last weekend being in the upper 80's, I just couldn't handle it so moved some cameras. Trying to get out this Sunday to the public. Just looking forward to my two week vacation. Getting close.

 

Monster raxx, better hope your fantasy team keeps winning. I'm about to keep this roll going.
