S o I’m planning on going hunting next weekend but the forecast is calling for rain. Should I hunt during the rain or just stay home. If I should, then should I hunt both the morning and evening or just one?

    Hunt. Hunt. Hunt.

    Quite entry/exit.

    Pretty much low scent entry/exit.

Deer move in October when it rains especially of an evening. I wouldn't miss a mid to late October evening hunt in rainy conditions.

I'll hunt a light on/off rain/drizzle, but if it's a steady heavy rain I certainly won't hunt. You potentially run the risk of having a blood trail washed away, especially if you had to leave it over night.

^^^^This^^^^^ it’s especially good if you are out there right when the rain stops. They are more likely to be moving(if the rain was heavy/steady. I killed my best buck on an evening hunt just as the rain was letting up.

I think one of the best times to hunt is in between rains or right after a rain. But, if it's a driving pouring rain I probably won't sit in it.

I have seen many deer in the rain. Like they stated above, can't kill em sitting on the couch. I personally hunt unless it is combined with heavy winds and heavy rain. Up here the rain don't seem to bother the deer as much as the heavy wind does.
