CF64BB08-2550-4B65-B6EB-F5D38FFFBBEF.jpeg I just picked up my deer from the taxidermist. The wide buck is from 2016 and the one with triple brow tines from last year Hoping I can help out our team with a similar buck this year.

Thank you. It was hard to wait 2 years for the big guy, but the taxidermist did a great job on the double pedestal.

I'd wait 3 years patiently and if it took 4 any aggrivation would end when seeing it.

No lie, that is one of the best looking mounts I have ever seen.

Usually pics like that you see blue ribbons on.

That sucks, hopefully you get another crack at him when they start forgetting things and get silly.

Thanks brother. Just frustrating cause I haven't shot a buck in 4 years with my bow. And finally the 1st sit of the year to have a cool non typicalish buck at 40 yds... and I blew makes a person go cuss cuss swear swear. Oh and I was sitting in a lawn chair under a pine tree. Who could ask for a better hunt.

Man I feel ya, I shot at mine about 2 weeks ago and couldn't find him. Looked at footage and hit high looks like. Either way no deer, that I had been watching all Summer. Pure sickening. Just hope hes still kicking and get another chance later on. Good luck man!

B4AE7C20-9DB0-4E8A-89DF-93FB7C8E0D52.jpeg Update: I did manage to arrow an antelope on Sunday. I was all packed up driving out of the ranch back to MN and happened to see a lone goat slowly walking by some hay bales. I grabbed my bow, 2 arrows and my rangefinder and made one final stalk. Long story short, I snorted at the antelope from about 120 yards away and then flashed the white tag from the inside of my hat around the edge of the hay bale to peak his attention. Surprisingly it worked and he walked toward the hay bale. I ranged a clump of weeds, drew my bow, and when he came into view at 65 yards, let her fly. He spun 90 degrees by the time my arrow hit him but I still managed a fatal hit. I realize there was some dumb luck involved but it was thrilling to get my first antelope. Now to put a whitetail down and help get our team some points!

I'm going to make it out this evening
Depending on what my camera's show me this afternoon, I might set up for a buck hunt and I might go try to kill a doe. I've got time to mess with a deer with tonight and tomorrow of work :)
