Close call last night. Needed him to come 30 more yards. Back at it tonight.

 

Sat for 3 hours this afternoon in a steady light rain and got soaked to the bone! Had 3 does come in to 70 yards at 7:00. That's as close as they came.

Congrats Ben....

I got my sitka order in finally, cutting it kind of close. lol With the spots I have currently, I won't be hunting many mornings for a little. Hoping that I don't work Saturday so I can hunt opening day. I'll be watching the Baker show Sunday! Hoping to be able to get a few hunts in before November, but I've got that two weeks vaction in November for hunting.

 

Congrats ben. I got all stands safety check set a new one, and checked cameras. Got 3 u would be super happy with. One wouldn't score. But old. One giant 4 with huge spike. Other is great topical 10ish. With kickers. Lots of does. Pics tom.

Found a draw on public ground that comes off where 2 ridges meet and dumps in the corner of a CRP field. Several good trails but it is sunny and 82 degrees here in Arkansas so who knows but we are out here giving it a go

So season opens Monday. Got to work till Wednesday so be in a tree watching sunrise thursday morning.

 

So far three sits here in Ohio. Havent seen one elusive deer yet; however, ever day the corn comes off around here is a day closer to the best hunting.

Well to. Is season opener. Shot the bow today. Pretty confident out to 30 yards. Not going passed that. Be out thursday morning.

 

Saw a nice 8 dead on the side of the road this opening morning on my way to work.

missed one monday afternoon. shot right over the top of her back at 30 yards. She ducked and I did not allow for it . I have hunted all public so far and I have seen deer each time so I hope the opportunities will keep coming
