OK that’s it for me. Back up my car. Went and pulled a couple of my cards and I liked what I saw! Good luck to anyone else who still out this morning!

I just got my breakfast sandwich, driving 20 minutes south to a piece of public land that I got a tip there’s a bunch of deer on, do some scouting quick here then get set up in the climber for the evening!

Dang, I got to disagree bud. I've killed two bucks in thick fog, and seen probably the biggest buck I've ever seen on the hoof chasing a doe across the road through the soup the same morning I killed my last one.

Not to say you can't kill deer in those conditions but in theory with fog and no wind your scent is only going to stay in one place and that's at ground level.

Woke up at 5:00 and made the mistake of not jumping straight out of bed. Woke again at 5:40. Decided not to try getting in late because last time I bumped every deer in the county doing that. When I took the dog out for a bike ride I saw the wind had switched and the only stand I have that would work for that direction is on private land 40 miles away.

Last night when I was climbing down I saw a deer in the field about 60 yards out. Put the binoculars on it and it was a really nice wide 8. Hope to see him again during daylight when he doesn't come in downwind like that.

Image1537037622.985779.jpg little bit of suburban hunting! Not far from the road and a house but there are trails everywhere here, not sure if I will see anything because I am absolutely soaked!! But still have 5 hours till dark so hopefully I can cool down, going to be spraying myself a lot!!! Gonna be a tight shot here only about 15 yards

I'm on my way to the shower, and then out to my stand. I promise not to take pictures of me in the shower. Got to set a good example for Swamp, ya know.
