A few farmers have shelled some corn but not much. Mostly soybeans in my area this year.

It does feel good! It looks like the temps are on a downhill slope! We’re supposed to warm back up to about 85 until the 16th and then it looks like it finally drops off!

One more week at the beach if Florence will cooperate and then hard at it. Stands are up, cameras sent to Ohio, getting antsy. A few items to fill back packs and I will be ready.

IMG_0041.JPG this was right next to where I had my tree stand last year! Not what I like to find!

Weather is nice here too. Got windows open. Got lots of rain this weekend. Hoping will dry out in next day or two so can get stands out

Temps are nice in pa but weather is really a drag. Nothing but rain for 3 days.

Well looks like I should be free until later this after noon. I'm going to take the pole saw out and trim some lanes and pull a few cards. I haven't gotten anything but raccoons and woodchucks on my cellular cam so I'm not expecting much.

Anyone read that article on deer hunting in Florida? Pretty interesting, I look forward to hearing more about hunting down there from WillO.

What part of the state is that? We saw a bunch of antelope when we went on the bh.com elk hunt in 2014. I'm going elk hunting in Idaho next year with my cousin that lives near Mountain Home. Already looking forward to it.

Thats great! I seen a bunch last year driving up to WY from Denver. I shot one with my bow last Aug. Great time. I'll see if I can find a picture.
How was your elk hunting in CO? I'm hoping to use my points in WY next year. I have never been and have really wanted to go for years.

The scenery was amazing, didn't see any elk but had an enjoyable trip and learned a lot. I learned that I was too fat to do that type of hunting and I learned that boots can make a big difference in the quality of your hunt. I'll not make that mistake this time. We did see a bull moose from camp the first evening, I was in awe of the size of those beasts!

Good points about the weight and boots. All the more reason I want to start hunting elk. I know I won’t have the ability to do it forever. I have read a bunch of stuff about the boots. It is a topic I should look into a little more. Showing up to camp with new boots is a bad idea too. Lowe was a popular brand last I looked.
It’s nice you have a connection out there.

Last night I got to glass for mule deer from our cabin and actually got to watch them for awhile! And this morning I I got to see some elk! I got to see the 3 species I’ve always wanted to see in Colorado!

Got my first pics of a few out of velvet this year. It's almost time to start getting after them.
