Not 100% but it makes sense its same deer because that’s the same shoulder
The top pics are of him this year and bottom two of him last
Good news is there’s another nice Ten point around for this year

So we agreed to put a offer in on a house today. Not sure they will come down to my price hasn’t been on the market long but we will see. No land with it unfortunately. Our Realator and my wife both looked at me funny when he said we will try to close around November and no that’s right in the middle of my rutcation. He goes I think you might have to take a couple days off and and say no, that’s not gona happen we can make that date whatever we want at this point let’s not put it there. Still not sure they took me seriously but if the paperwork he sends me tomorrow has a close date of November 1 I’m not signing it lol

Also did not get the new hunting property I was hoping to get, the neighbor asked apparently earlier this year. If my wife had asked them in February like I wanted her to maybe but she didn’t want to bug them about it lol people just don’t get it. O well still have a big new public land to scout

Debating whether to check cameras this weekend or the day prior to opening day. I think I'll do it this weekend so I can move them to some other spots and check them after my opening day hunt.
I'm still undecided which stand to hunt opening day, but I'll just be happy to get into the woods.

I’ll be checking cameras the next two weekends probably just because I will already be there both times and after that I’m hoping to let them sit. A while. Likely won’t hunt out there until the first good cold front.

I'm going to slow down my time in the stand this year, last year, I had good pictures of bucks and burned out way too quick trying to get on one. It became "work" by the time November came around. I think my few trips to Illinois will help keep the pressure down on my local spots, at least will give some new scenery.
It is supposed to pour all weekend, I may let them go until next week, or use the rain to my advantage and do some last minute stand maintenance.

@bowhunt4abuck I just looked at your bow setup in your sig line, minus the Hoyt, we are shooting the same equipment. I love that trocar HB, it puts a nasty hole in deer. I didn't care much for them on turkey though. I'll stick with the fixed blade mx-3 for turkey.

It's all up to you. I myself hunt a small 110 acre private farm. I have found pressure is key to success. I don't put cameras right next to my stand location. If I do it's a very short period say 2 weeks. Then the cameras go back on food plots ect. I've found they can alter deer movement around my stand location. I also don't get 2 hung up on moving it, I know my high percentage spots so I use them mostly for inventory and if there active in the area. I myself am guilty of overhunting the small farm. I have found saving designated high percentage areas like bedding strictly during peak rut. I don't hunt food plots more then once or twice a week or any stand for the most part. I like to now stay home with the family early and hunt hard when it counts. I also hunt public land to kill the need of going on bad wind days or whatever it b.
if u can drive 2 them or walk without a big disturbance is another good way to think about camera setup
If I had a larger property I would not b afraid to go check move cameras now. If it's small I'd say let them lay till right before the opener. Chances are if your smart and he feels safe u will catch up 2 him.
Also I prefer the rain for pulling cards it helps wash the scent away. Exspecally being hot like it has been.
When season starts cameras will mostly b checked when headed 2 a stand by that location.
That all being said don't get 2 hung up on cameras. This will b the second season with my 5 colecting dust at home.
O ya only use the black flash cameras. Any other flash will scare them.

Well guys I was lucky enough to score this piece of property bordering the Illinois river the first 15 days of season. Pretty excited! It's the first triangle section of timber bordering the river.
