Which lenses are you guys taking out to snap photos? It'll be my first year focusing on photography instead of videography
Most of my photos are using my Sigma 18-35 1.8, un less i'm shooting wildlife, then I steal the ol' man's 100-400
I just picked up a Lumix G7. I’ve got the kit 14-42, the 25mm f1.7, and a 14-140 f3.5-5.6. I’m primarily using the 25mm for everything close and the 14-140 for everything else. I don’t really use the kit lens now but it’s OK I guess. I’ve only got maybe a thousand pics total on the setup right now so I’m still getting used to it but overall I’m very happy with it and the lenses I’ve got. I’d love to add a 100-400mm to the mix for velvet pics and longer range stuff but I’m gonna wait for a while and really learn how to use this thing before doing that.
I just picked up a Nikon d3400 witht he 18-55 and a 70-300 that I will be bringing into the field. Just getting started, but I will be sure to start a thread to follow. First set will be from my elk hunt in Wyoming in a week!
Depend's on what I'm trying to accomplish. the easy lens is my Sony 18-105 F4. It's a good all purpose lens works great as long as there is decent light available. I have a Minolta 5omm F1.4 that I use for portrait style photos, it's a great lens but you have to nail your focus since it has such a narrow focal plane. Wildlife photography would be with my Sigma 50-500mm, this lens needs a lot of light though.
I was thinking about starting a photography thread for people to post their shots too. Rokslide has a "photo of the day" thread type thing
