I have a cabelas ground blind that is big enough for me to stand. I'm 6'5'. It has worked very well. I've left it out through most of winter last year due to the stakes getting frozen into the ground. It was more $ for the size. They have some others close to that price. They should be having sales and incentives coming up. The cabelas would have a 1 year warranty on them if they don't last the season. Found out cabelas doesn't have quite the same return policy they used to be known for. Keep the receipt or they won't do anything. 90 days on anything not cabelas brand. At least you know you are protected for the year. Get you through turkey season. If anything is off. Take it back.

Johnny I have a question for you, I remember your episode from last year with the tough recovery, My father and I usually meet up fridays to tune in to a new episode. He has struggled on and off with target panic for must of his life, was wondering if you worked on any new methods to try and correct it? Also did you end up salvaging the meat from that buck seeing as it was a gut shot and in the water??
i just rewatched that episode the other day and my wife walked in right when Johnny was stripping in the field, haha, was a funny moment

I wish the weather would cooperate with me. After a week of rainy weather, the creek I hunt is up high enough to affect travel patterns. There is normally a crossing spot near my stands but not right now. Now it's a crap shoot as to which side of the creek they are traveling on. Road bridges are the only crossing places right now. He guys, sorry for late response again. What I've done since last seasons shooting debacle. Over the winter I shot 1000's of arrows at close range with no sight just rebuilding my form to get that correct. I also got my bow fitted better, correct draw length mostly. Then I went to shooting with sight again but no aiming point. Just feeling correct release with no anxiety of putting pin on target. Lots of shooting like that. Eventually worked to big targets, close range and then smaller target farther away. I'm at point now where I feel form is great, shooting great but don't think I'll ever but "over" the anxiety part. Just have to deal with it and be prepared mentally. Another trick that really helps is to draw, anchor put pin on target until shot breaks down and then let down. Go through whole shooting session without firing an arrow. Do this till anxiety goes away. Then next arrows you shoot will be good. My anxiety tends to creep back in after awhile but not nearly as bad as it was. Sorry for long post. And yes the meat on my Kansas buck was good yet. Sounds like you got a good handle on things, Jonny. Target panic can be a real bear to get over. You really put in some work. What is everyone shooting as far as arrows? This year I'm shooting Beman bowhunter shafts cut to 27", Standard S nock, 3 florescent yellow 4" Vantec V-max vanes (straight fletch with about a 3 degree offset), 100 grain brass insert, and a 100 grain Steelforce Phathead broadhead. That's for my main bow. The second bow is set up with the same arrows except they are tipped with 100 grain Wasp Jak-hammer mechanical broadheads.
