Is this limb peeling or just cosmetic?

Noticed this on the bottom limb of my bow yesterday, I think its just cosmetic but wanted to make sure before my bow blows up on me. It is a Parker Python. Both photos are the same spot, just a different angle, I checked around and didnt notice this anywhere else on the bow.

I think it's just chipped paint.

Im having a hard time seeing what it is from the pic. but to me it looks almost like a fiberglass splinter. if it is, I would definitely keep a eye on it

I sent a notification to the company, they offer lifetime warranty but i dont care to send it in over a cosmetic issue, if its fiberglass splintering off though, it would probably continue to pull off correct?

The splinter that is sticking up feel sharp? If you pushed your finger against it, would it stab you? If it does, I personally would order new limbs, especially if you have lifetime warranty.

Anyway to borrow a bow? Probably be awhile before you get new limbs. I had a limb blow up in 2016 about 2 weeks before the season. Ended up buying a new bow because I didn't trust my bow anymore. Good luck with it, hopefully you get a fast turn around with it

That splinter shouldn’t cause an issue for a while, but it’s your warning. I’ve seen bows worse than that shot for years. The resin used during layup is giving out. May just be that one spot, but there’s one there could be more. Doesn’t look like anything hit the corner, so they should replace without question.
Don’t think it’s a blow up situation, but get it done.

Had that happen to my bow couple years ago, I won’t mention make or model cause it can happen to any of them if you nock the corner of the limb on something hard. I gave it a very light sand with 600 grit and applied a thin coat of clear nail polish on the edge where I sanded it. Has worked flawlessly for several seasons since and have no intentions to replace old faithful yet.

Just one small splinter like that isnt anything to worry about, but if you can get free limbs because of it, I would do it
