Huntley, IL and the same way I met them via the net. I go way back to the huntingnet.com days with JZ, DukeMichaels, and Todd. I've been helping with the www.facebook.com/bowhunting page pretty much since it got started. So hopefully we win this thing so I can post it up on there. :-)

finished all my RIPs this afternoon... and got my Trophy Taker A-Tacs in the mail
They're nasty looking heads but not as big as I'd like for deer. Probably save those for elk.
I will probably stick to the Muzzy HBs and/or Magnus Black Hornets if I can get them to tune; which shouldn't be a problem. I lost a buck last year on poor penetration and it really, really pissed me off. I want to punch through so I am going with heavy hitting shafts and fixed heads.

I pulled a couple of cards today and only got one good buck on camera. The beans are starting to turn a little here so I don’t think they are feeding on them as much. Image1535680949.991952.jpg

the field behind my house started turning this week as well. I'm about an hour north of you.
That's a nice buck; and looks pretty young still. Maybe only a 3.5? Nice.

Mr. Kaufman informed me today we have a 13th teammate- another BHOD prostaffer and Central Illinois Big Buck Assassin! Frank Clark, aka "Franki"

I really like our chances with all the IL and WI hunters we got on the team. IN and OH, too. Who needs Iowa???

Here's a segment of Frank's hunts from a couple years back:

Yeah, I joined the forums shortly after the switch from HuntingNet. Found out through chatting here that JZ's dad owned property a couple miles from my cabin in WI. Also found a kindred spirit in Dan (Schafer) who was helping Mod the forums at that time, he and his wife ran a fishing camp north of us in Canada. Ended up being brought on as a moderator, then Admin, went to out to PA to help with the booth at the Great American Sports Show, found out Todd went to UMD in Duluth where I went to school. After that I started doing some work for them, graphic design, Social, etc and put in my application to the show since I'd been filming the previous year.

I continued working for them until this winter when I reluctantly backed out of things due to time constraints (with my Marketing company taking off in addition to the resort and a 3 yo son). Todd said I couldn't leave the show until I shoot a buck. So, I may be on BHOD for decades to come! :tu:

Love the video Fitz, makes me want to get one more trip to the BWCA this year. Looks like we have some heavy hitters on the team, should be a good year.
