As it reads guys and gals, which one is the better of Them and why. Also who has any experience with these stands and can attest to the stability and durability of them.

I like the Assault series but want to know everyone’s input before I jump the gun and get one of these two.

I've got the Assault hang-on, which is a great stand, but it sits most of the time. My LW sit and climb is my go to stand. Love it! :tu:

I purchased the sling from Lone Wolf to be able to sit. I injured my shoulder, years ago, and if it starts acting up - I DIT and climb.

How good does the sling work?

I was just looking at the climbers Friday. They look pretty solid. I have a lock on of theirs. It is solid and stabile. Thanks for starting this thread.

The hand climber becomes a sit and climb. It snaps in place with carabiners. It works great. I can’t go up a tee as fast as the hand climber, because there is less leg travel in the sitting position

I have the hand climber and love it. I have also used my brother in laws assault climber and the platform is too small in my opinion.

Ya I’ve been looking at them now for some time and kept on going back to these two and a summit viper. Are they comfy to be in for long periods of time?

It depends on how determined you are. Honestly, LW's aren't the most comfy stands, BUT they are the lightest, quietest, most stable, and most packable stand out there. :chewy:

I bought a hand climber about 4 years ago and I liked it but I wanted a little more comfort. I bought the top half of a Sit and Climb for long sits and planned to use the Hand Climber for short sits/long hikes to the stand. The Sit and Climb ended up being so comfortable and easy to pack that I sold the Hand Climber seat. I have a hang on set I use maybe 1% of my hunts. The rest are my Sit and Climb.

I have the hand climber and I love it, I've shot more deer out of it than any of my hang on stands. I did do one upgrade though, I like the hand climber for morning/evening sets but I get uncomfortable in it if I do an all-day set. To counter that, I bought the sit and climb seat as well, it is a heck of a lot more comfortable but it is a little more bulk when you are walking in during the morning. LW is a quality product, whichever way you choose I doubt you will be disappointed.

how much smaller is the platform on the assault compared to the standard hand climber. Its only a few bucks more and was thinking of getting the bigger one just for the added foot room.
