What do you use for a ground blind seat?

In past years I have just sat on a bucket with a padded swivel seat. I would like to find something that is useful for bow hunting, quiet, and doesn't take up too much room in the blind. Comfort is my main goal for long sits.

What do you all use to keep you comfortable for those long hours of sitting? Thanks

I've been looking at one of these chairs for blind/ground hunting. It's a little pricey but cheaper than Millennium's version.

I bought this one and love it. I looked at the expenses ones at cabelas and they squeak and pop.

Redneck chair! A little pricey but very adjustable and comfortable! They are awesome, love mine!

 

I use the hawk tri stool. Really comfortable and light and less than $40

 

I just use lawn chairs.

 

Camp chairs have worked for me in the past but last year I bought this chair. It's a bit heavy so you don't wanna pack it back and forth unless absolutely necessary. But it's comfortable and doesn't squeak when swiveling. It will make a little noise from the seat material when you stand up and sit down but no much. I like the adjustable legs so you're always sitting level.

And I just looked at the chair BuffaloBill posted and this is basically the same one although the Alps is $99 via Amazon and the one he posted is $79.

I've used this one with no complaints.

 

I made my own. 100% silent swivel - comfy - warm - portable - cheap. Every spring I see old boat seats going out to the garbage. A couple of closet flanges, a 12" piece of 1" pipe and some fabric to replace the cold/hard (usually ripped up) vinyl. My first one is on the right. The last I made is in the center. Now I'm making one for my 93 year old Dad (sorry - gun hunter....but still hunting ) one with a heated car seat cover to keep his back warm. I will just put a boat battery next to his blind.

 

I use a $10 plastic lawn chair, like the ones you get from Walmart, Home Depot, or a local drug/grocery store. I have a $30 memory foam seat cushion though. I just ease forward in the chair and drop a knee downward to create shooting space.

I really only use the cushion for long sits because I think fabric-to-fabric movement makes more sound than fabric-to-plastic.

I still use my old Huntmore 360 chairs most of the time, but they're getting squeaky in their old age. I picked up a pair of Alps tripod stools with backs last year and they worked fine for a couple hours here and there. Although I am contemplating upgrading to either the Millenium chairs or the Alps equivalent.

I just spent about 35 hours on a Redneck chair this past week in Wyoming and let me tell you, they're okay for a few hours but any longer than that and they aren't very good. Not much padding in the seat, plus they are pretty heavy and noisy. If you need to move the chair inside the blind for some reason you better hope there's nothing around. Clickity clank clank clank.

For the price I think these little Alps stools are a solid option.

 

I like the alps, only complaint is that you can’t adjust the height.

 

I had been researching those for a couple of weeks and bought an Alps deluxe swivel chair. The height is adjustable and the arms fold down when you need them to. It's a mesh seat with a back so I'm pretty sure it will be comfortable. My second choice would have been the Hawk stealth spin chair but its arms didn't fold down. BTW I know you're local and they had the Hawk spin chair on sale for $89.95 at Walnut Creek Archery in Gas City. That's the cheapest price I could find on the web. They also had them at Big R but the sales clerk could not tell me the price. Seriously! Here's a link for the Alps chair

I didn't realize the arms on the Stealth Deluxe chair fold down. That one may be the winner for me.

 

Cheap Office Chair............but I have a couple of old boat seats in the storage shed...I do believe I found a new project.
