I give it a rest and it comes back.I'm shooting 59 lbs now and I'm going elk hunting in September. I guess I can retune for 55 lbs or maybe less. I'm shooting a Mathews Halon . I am trying to hold a fixed left arm only pulling with my right arm. Any recommendations I'm ready to listen. Maybe back down more poundage and go to a lighter arrow.
Keep resting. Stretch every day when you can. Forearm stretches and shoulder rotations. Icy-hot works well for irritation. And ibueprofen Sent from my SM-G892A using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I get it in my arm from lifting weights...mostly from death grippng the bars, and curls. Anyways, I found this video on youtube on how to massage it out, and it works for me. Now I wear a compression sleeve when lifting to help keep it at bay.
I work in sports medicine and am a huge fan of the soft tissue work. I do instrumented assisted soft tissue mobilization on almost all of my injured athletes. Works great for what sounds like you're going through. I'd recommend trying to get in with a PT and seeing if they can do anything like this. If you're trying to keep it simple and stay at home, work on stretching your forearm muscles, and strengthening of the wrist flexors/extensors, biceps/triceps.
Inside or outside of the elbow? Front or back? Tendonitis is often caused by weak muscles on the opposite side. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I have bicep tendinitis horribly in my left bicep. The only way I can get a little relief is to do reverse curls and ice it like crazy. Compression sleeve works too
Mine comes and goes. Shoulders and elbows ache terribly every so often. If legal in your state, try some CBD oil. Better than ibuprofen for being able to do my normal things (weights, shooting bow, guitar). I also agree with Shocker99. Ice and a compression sleeve!!!!
BPC-157 and it works good, My golfers elbow was gone in a 15 days completely and its been gone for 3 years now!
