    Hi guys I'm here!

Hey Buckeye, looks like we're on the same team again. Hopefully we can have another year like we did in 2016!

That's cool. If I remember correctly you go camping there? You should try out western MD sometime. Deep creek is nice area. Also I go to green ridge state park, it has rustic camp sites all over the park. But probably not as much to do there as deep creek.

Checking in! This is my first year on a team! Looking forward to it. I live and hunt in sw Michigan. I hunt a small 30 acre chunk of private land. Haven’t set any cameras out yet but I shot a decent 9 point last year. Looking forward to getting to know you guys!

I will bold everyone's name in the original post as we check in.

The next order of business is to introduce ourselves, elect a team captain and submit and vote on a team name.

My vote for team captain is Holt...

Team name suggestion; Crossbros and cornpiles.

About me; I am 38 and live in NE Ohio. I am married and have two kids (4 and 9 year old boys). I have been in this contest every year since it started on the old forum in 2004.

I will be hunting with a Hoyt for the first time since 2003 this fall (Bowtech and Marhews since then). My season starts the last Saturday of September.

    Welcome guys!

A little about me. I'm 37 and married also. I have 2 kids, both girls that are 5 and 1 year old. I live and hunt in maryland I do construction for a living, so I'm able to get a lot of hunting time in. My season in MD starts in less then a month. Haven't got anything great on camera yet, but I'm sure something will show soon. Have quite a few big bucks coming out at the house but wont have a chance at them, but got some great video of them this year.

My vote for captain is Buckeye

I will try to think up some names for the team and post them up when I do.

Man I don't know how you do it with 4 kids! The 2 I have keep me on my toes. It's fun to be on a team and the more everyone joins in, the better the team. The best advice I can give you for your first year in contest is don't put to much pressure on your self to shot something. It's all for fun. Also don't change your standards of deer for the contest. Just go out and hunt for your self and the rest will fall into place.

Thanks for the advice. I don’t get to hunt as much as I would like so I don’t set my standards to high and I mainly hunt to put food on the table.

As for the kids, I have a great wife who stays home and does most of the stuff around the house. And believe or not the more kids you have the easier it is (except for the noise). My older 2 kids really help with the youngest so it’s not as much chasing around if you know what I mean. Lol

Post some photos. Bucks you've shot, bucks you are chasing etc. I'll put some pics up later.

This is the 9 pt I shot last year for the contest. The 2nd pic is my #1 buck I have been watching the last 2 years. I ended up having him under me one evening for 10 minutes and let him go. So I still haven't found him this year. I believe he will be a 5 year old this year and have been making some big jumps every year. Really looking forward to my next camera pull! 20171107_070934.jpg tapatalk_1507465320806.jpeg

Hey guys. Glad to be on the team! Caveman here, been in the contest for 6 or 7 years I suppose. Typically do all my hunting in eastern OK on public land, this year I'm going to take a trip to NE for some spot and stalk mule deer. Married with no kids, and have a pretty good job so I get quite a bit of hunting time in. I'm planning a thru hike of a 165 mile trail this year that might keep me busy a bit in december. I hunt all seasons, so yall may see some gun and traditional blackpowder pics as well. Here's my last 3 OK public land bow bucks. Hope to contribute another this year![IMG][IMG][IMG]
