Bow season opens on 8/15. I'm not starting that early this year.

It's been hot here but so am I! I've been messing with my bow and arrows. I put a new rest(Ultra Rest Pro) and sight (Optimizer Ultra)on the bow and got it tuned up. Messing with the FOC on my arrows, 12 1/4 percent, and picked up some new broadheads Magnus Black Hornet Ser Razors. I changed my release to a four finger True Fire because I like the idea of having it clipped on the bow already to go. Got cameras out and getting some nice pictures. Got a stand site all picked out and going to put it in next week. I am soo hot for this season I can't stand it!

I use to have the same problem at my last house. I would set a target up in the garage and walk down the driveway. I think I could get almost 40 yards from end of driveway to the back of my garage. Just had a sheet of plywood in back of garage in case I missed!

Cooler mornings and seeing so many deer in the mornings on my way to work. I have got the itch.

My wife thinks I'm cheating on her. When she wakes I'm gone, I'm either out scouting or shooting my bow at the club. I've hunted most of my life but this year I just have a fever!

worked from 730-730 today clearing ground, tilling, and stand work. It was about 85* today and I bet I drank 2-3 gallons of water and drank a few beers and I think I only peed 4x all day. My calves are so tight I know I am going to wake up in the middle of the night screaming like a little girl with leg cramps.

And I'm still not ready. But I did pull a card from a camera that's been soaking since June 5.... So I am hyped!

Haven't got the fever yet. Been seeing a few deer at the job but nothing to get excited about. Did go out and check a couple of my stands last week. Ladder stands that I normally leave up all year. Got to do some trimming and such but should be able to get that done in short order. Been crazy at work so not much time for the extracurricular activities yet.

I’ve already got the itch too and haven’t even pulled my first cards yet. I just set up my practice tree stand course and doing some gear shopping. Bout this time of the year I drive my wife nuts because bow hunting is all I think about lol

Once I hit that 2 month countdown I really start to get fired up!!! Cooler weather, football, FALL, and hunting is upon us. My favorite time of the year by far.

The temp here is still above normal and them cool morning are just not that cool yet but I can start to feel the change. Just waiting for opening day like the rest. In the next couple of weeks I hope to feel them cool morning that you speak of.
