Its getting that time when you leave for work in the morning the cooler mornings kind of get that inner Bow hunter self stirred up a bit. CANNOT wait to get some tree time. Who else is going through this ?? Are you ready!

The tobacco barns are getting ready to fire up, that smell and the cooler morning usually get the anticipation going. Luckily I'm going on vacation for the next two and that usually helps keep my mind off deer for a little while.

The cool mornings remind me that I have a lot to get done before I can hunt.

anxious yes; ready? - still waiting on my new rig to come in; then I got to get my new arrows set up; get tuned, yadda yadda...oh, and I still need to hang about 8 stands and put in my late season food plots.

    Ah, effit, sure I'm ready!

Yes I am getting excited. No I am not ready as I want to be. Still need to prep two new stand sites and get 2 late season plots in, but October can't get here fast enough. Had a rotten season last year and I need some meat on the skillet.

I have three stands I hunt. All set up, lanes trimmed, safety measures all in place. There are 38 days until opening day. Only thing I really need to do is wash all my clothes and let them hang outside for a couple days as opening day gets closer. And keep shooting my bow of course.

I have been ready but still nervous just hoping all the pieces of the puzzle fall into place and the opportunity presents its self and I have the ability to put one on the ground

It’s not really cooler yet, but I was ready after I got my plot in and a few pieces of public scouted (which is a new thing for me). I used to race motocross, so about March, my direction would start to shift to that, but I got tired of hitting the ground and throwing money away so it’s 110% bowhunting and archery all year.

It’s nice to finally get out in the tree, because my mind finally gets a break from the planning, map staring, and wondering.

I always get everything done last minute every year so I made sure to do it all early this year. Plus they are ladder stands that I leave out all year so that helps.

I need to shoot my bow. Been so busy with selling and buying houses that I havent had much time. Only thing Ive been doing is form shooting in my garage. That is going to change next week. Need to find a farmer to let me shoot on their land as my new house doesn't have any room to shoot my bow. Not fun.

82 degrees at 5 am yesterday morning...75 today felt like cold front moved through :) I usually start my season in Wyoming in September; can't wait for those 50 degree mornings in a few short weeks. Ready to go...just counting down the days.

Here in Ohio if you really look close you can see a few leaves beginning to change. It won’t be long before we will all be talking about the rut and posting in the live from the stand thread.

Looking forward to cool/crisp mornings in the woods. I've been shooting my bow more trying to get it dialed in. Need to do some scouting. Looking at getting an ASAT leafy suit.

As I close in via calculatus/eliminatus...I'm always reminded of just how small a mature bucks core actually is this time of year. I have to remember not to get so caught up in trying to find where the buck is, that I lose sight of where he's not. I know that sounds obvious but it's been the fall of a many hunter, myself included. I've been guilty of waiting for the buck to find my camera rather then using my camera to find the buck more times than I would like to admit, lol.

I'm still not ready for my antelope hunt that I leave for in 6 days. It's funny how archery season always sneaks up on me.
