Has anyone ever shot with the 2" Bohning Air vanes or the 2.25" Bohning X-vanes? Also looked at the AAE Max Hunter vanes. Ive used the 2" blazers for last few years, just wondering what the differences in vane styles would be.
Pretty much all AAE max stealth vanes at this point. Once in awhile if i am shooting expandables i will go to max pro or blazers.

Depends upon application I use different vanes/fletching: Takedown recurve: 5" feathers. Experimenting with 5" AAE Elite (Easton XX75 2315 Camo Hunters) Olympic Recurve: AAE Wave (Easton Carbon One ) Target Compound: 5" AAE Elite (Easton X23 2315 arrows) Hunting: Seems most of the arrows I buy for hunting are premade with Blazer. When I buy bareshaft or refletch them, I will use AAE Pro Max.
I’m shooting 2.25” x vanes, 4 fletch, left helical. I have good luck with them. I have some AAE Max stealths as well and I like them for my Gold Tip 30X pros with glue in points. Really liking the x vanes on my hunting arrows. They group well at 60 yards.
How much of a difference can you notice in the X-vanes and regular blazers? Also how much different is shooting 4 vanes over 3 vanes?

I shoot the x-vanes. I shot the traditional blazers the last 3 years. They are a little heavier but not by much compared to the originals. IMO the flight is a little more consistent from I see.
NAP Twisters set on a four fletch. Thinking about trying the NAP Hellfire or AAE Max Hunter the next time a fletch arrows.
did you think we wouldn't notice those 3 flyer holes? seriously; that's a nice group @ 60. Well done. Some of my Victory V1s came pre-fletched with X vanes. They fly great at any distance with mechs. Not sure about fixed, though.
