This awesome and would make a great project for the kids. Thanks very much for taking the time to lay this all out.
No problem, glad you all enjoyed it. It's really a great way to mix up your trail cam pictures. I still think there are some great commercial offerings out there, and they keep getting better, but Homebrew's are a lot of fun.
The pictures are some of the better ones that I've seen from trail cameras. Good homebrew project. Thanks for sharing
Thanks! Trigger speed isn't bad. I've been running a few commercial cams for the last 9 months for the first time in a long time. I'm still a big fan of white flash over IR/Black Flash. I just like color photos, and experience has shown deer on our property (even the big boys) are not shy of the flash. I'm not sure I will build many more due to time limitations (I have enough cams as is), but for the money spent and the quality of the photos (not to mention long term reliability), they still can't be beat.
This is awesome, thank you! I do have a question, can you use any camera for this or does it have to be the sony?
There are several camera brands that will work. Can you be a bit more specific? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
