Hey guys, i bought everything for self filming this time last year and filmed a lot last fall and even got a turkey kill this spring on film. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a editing program thats fairly easy to use? ive never did any editing of my own but have a ton of footage and id like to put together a couple clips for myself. Thanks in advance guys

Easy too use, Pinnacle Studio 20 plus. I use that and Adobe Premier, and actually prefer the Pinnacle because it's kind of what I started out with and know the best. It's pretty reasonable price wise, and one of the easier programs I've used, yet does a really god job.

I'm using Adobe premiere elements 11. Fairly basic but does everything I need. I think I pd. about 75 bucks for it. Watch lots of youtube videos on making videos, it will shorten the learning curve tremendously. And once again thank you to my friend Windwalker on this site for giving me a MAJOR KEY to editing that I was missing.

I was trying to edit all my clips at once in the time line and the clips just wouldn't match up. It was really a simple thing wind walker told me but as a new editor I didn't understand. He told me to just edit 1 clip at a time then add the edited clip to the timeline. Being an ol dumb son of a b I just didn't understand until he told me. I went from 3wks editing for 1 10 min. video to 1 hr. It was a simple concept that I didn't understand growing up in the age of horse drawn wagons. Even now I have a laptop on youtube "how to video's" while I'm editing on my desktop. But now editing is "ALMOST FUN".

I use Adobe Premiere. But that's because I also use Photoshop, Illustrator, Muse and other programs of theirs. Premiere is robust enough to edit feature films (like Deadpool, and many others).

Having said that, if I was going to start out and wanted something free, I'd look into DaVinci Resolve. Their Free version is more than powerful enough for most folks.

I've used DaVinci and for coloration tweeks (if I desire) it is amazing, given free just ridiculous. I do have PowerDirector and so far have loved it.
