I pulled a robin hood the other day and thought i'd post a thread of other people that have done this. Post a picture of what your arrow looked like after a robin hood. 20271724_10154788689302338_446471373_n.jpg

I'll never get a robin hood because I shoot at a different spot with each arrow. It's cool, but shooting for a robin hood gets expensive, because you usually damage too many arrows before you achieve the perfect robin hood. jmo

I stopped shooting at the same spot long ago to avoid this expensive mistake. FYI, I was given to understand that its only a Robin Hood if you call it ahead of the shot and intend to do it . Otherwise its an expansive mistake .:rant::bigcry:

I've been shooting a bow for over 30 years.... not one robinhood. I've busted plenty of knocks though.

After doing that i've started shooting in different spots each time. It's cool but might as well just tear up a 10 dollar bill

Over the years, I've done it several times, no pics, but I'll never forget the first time it happened. I was at a 3d shoot with my brother-in-law and we were at the very first target. It was about a 45yd shot and he went first. He really nailed it and turned around and started bragging. I stepped up and calmly put an arrow right down the middle of his. That shut him up pretty quick. But I assure you, it was a complete accident on my part and I probably couldn't have done it again at that distance in a million years. Fun while it lasted though.

    Blessings..........Pastorjim

Now that's a Robin Hood shot - splitting your opponents arrow instead of your own!

I've wasted far too many arrows with Robin Hoods. Always cool... but not cheap. I used keep a pile of a dozen or so, but through them out w/ the latest home remodel.. lol

I had one a few years ago but once I started shooting 3D I switched to GoldTip ProHunters with that ballistic collar and that has helped save a few arrows.

Ive hit one robin hood and shot through vanes a few times and busted a few nocks, more annoying than anything else but I love being able to wrap my thumb and index finger around a few arrows:bow:

Never got a robin hood. And I hope to never get one. I'm pretty picky about ruining arrows. In my opinion I think robin hoods are more luck than anything. I'm not sure of any archers who are really attempting to shoot other arrows to ruin them. They are cool though! :tu:

Gold Tip hunters. cheapest of the hunter series but still really good, durable arrows.
