Here are our 2 bean plots. The first pic is beans only, the second plot is clover to the right of the tree and beans to the left.
We planted these plots May 13th - 15th.

Rough 2" of rain since the beginning of may, so dry that weeds aren't even coming. Hopefully we can get some soon to get something out of it.

First attempt at alpha rack +
Trying it in conjunction with raptor to control the weeds.
Trying it on a very small plot
Not overly impressed thus far but we will see.

We had the opposite in Ohio, has rained almost every day. Couple 1.5"+ frog drowners that have washed some of my plots out.

I am going to mow the plot today, got a bunch of rain last night and it is going to be cool tomorrow perfect conditions to mow it. Trying to decide if I want to till up 3 strips and plant some winter peas or winter oats or just stick with the clover alfalfa chickory mix.

Winter peas are something I am going to have to order, I loath to pay for seed with a buck on the package. Is there a superior seed? I am leaning towards getting the seed off e-bay.

Always get mine through Albert Lea Seed House. They're great to work with.

Sota, I always get or winter peas from a local seed dealer. They always grow really well!! I'm not sure if they do mail order or not. 50# bag is just less that $40.

Yeah I get all my seed at the local feed mill, jack wagons do not have winter pea seed.

Hoping to get up to camp this week and plant some turnips and ICP's. Hopefully corn and beans aren't flooded. Might even become technologically advanced and post some pics

Alfalfa can be a challenge most success comes from fall planting.
