I have a slight obsession with huge 8 points. This is the biggest I have ever had the opportunity to hunt, this past season in Iowa. Unfortunately he was killed by a neighbor. Scored 180 1/8". Thought it would be cool to have thread with the biggest 8 pointers everyone has seen.

RD...hunted him 4 years...nearly connected twice; dog chased him away once and another time it wasn't legal time yet. He got hit by a car November of 2015 we discovered. The story is over. Ate tag soup twice trying solely for him.

(I did end up shooting one of his offspring...called Junior because he was a spitting image of his dad with the insanely long brows and such...Junior broke his left beam in velvet though in 15' and I killed him as a BIG 7. )

At work only have pictures from the first pull in 2012 we got of him...

Man I don't have pics but my Uncle ended up killing him. He was not as giant as the two above but he scored in the 150's and dressed out at 225#. I jumped him out of a bed one afternoon and saw him chasing some does about 200yds out during shotgun season. I'm glad my uncle got him, he chased him for 2 yrs. I'll have to try to find the pics

I have no pictures (but I promised it happened) - I was dropping off a buck at my taxidermist and there was a guy their dropping off his whole deer, hide still attached. I asked Barry (taxidermist) what the deal was after this guy left and he said he was getting a full body mount for an 8 pt buck that he raised on his farmed and needed the hide from this buck (this was a dandy buck, id say in the 140-150 range). He showed me the sheds from the pen raised deer and they were huge. 100% clean 8 pt and he claimed they scored 180. I don't know if they did or not but they were HUGE. Should have taken a picture... :(

Terrible picture but only one I got of him. Personally saw him one time from about 500 yards through the spotting scope one Sunday morning before church. Continued watching him for about an hour as he walked past not one or two, but three different stands of mine.. [IMG]

Here is a decent one that showed up on one of our properties last season. Neighbor said he had pics of him too. He should be nice this year if he made it. [IMG][IMG]

I'm guessing he might have been pushing 140 here. Maybe...

That's easy for me. Count Chocula :tu:

Hunted him for two years. First time I ever shot a deer I had photos of.

I've seen a few really big 8 pointers in my time (150"+). I got this one that total grosses 173" and nets 158 5/8" as an 8 pointer.

Senior has lived on my farm his whole life. Not sure how old he is, probably gonna be 6 or 7 this year. I had him at 50-60ish yards last year post rut circling my food plot, i tried to grunt him and he booked it. Learned a lesson about mature bucks that day.

This is a really tall 8 pointer we had running around last year. He disappeared in late October or early November hoping he just relocated and he will show back up he is a nice one and should get bigger if he lived

Here's a guy I chased a few years back. I started getting him on camera in about mid-april and I could tell by his early growth that he was going to be special. I had him all summer long in different locations on my cams so I knew he was living there. With so many pics in so many locations I just knew I was going to kill him. I saw him once from the stand during the early part of the bow season and never saw him alive again, although I did get a few more pics of him in October. A neighbor killed him on the opening weekend of gun season.

    Big eights are special!

This is one of the guys that I leased with. It is the best best one I have ever seen on the ground. Scores right at 160.

I chased this one around for 2 years before he was hit by a car in 2015.
