Unofficially, that puts us at 176 points so far... I'm hunting MO a couple more times this next week before heading back to KS to try to fill my tags out there. I'll throw my bird up on the scoreboard when I get back... I thought I saw on FB where Dubbya scored one too? Maybe I'm wrong... or just hopeful. :)

Made it out Friday for a couple hours before work. 3 guys in the area. No birds seen or heard that morning. My Dad went out yesterday to same property and had gobbling all over, but no toms would commit to getting within his range. Assisting with church service today so that leaves me with tomorrow as my best chance to "git r done". Good luck

271.125... I posted the scoresheet from 2016 on page 1 of this thread so we could all see last year's contributors. Nothing like a little peer pressure!

Working on it right now. Have seen a couple single birds out 500+ yds. I have still yet to hear any gobbling this season. Have never experienced that before. But, almost had a coyote get into bow range earlier today.

Sorry guys for the late response. I killed a good one last week in the snow. We fanned them in and caught it all on film for Bowhunt or Die. Shot him at 6 yards, 5 toms were coming to kill us. Below is a screen shot of the birds at 4 yards. FullSizeRender.jpg

Awesome Dustin!! Can't wait to watch that!!

I've been in KS the last few days trying to punch one of my tags I went home with from last time ... had a gobbler sit in full strut for over an hour 3 FEET from my blind yesterday but he was off to the side.(He came in from behind me.) I felt he was finally getting bored and turning to leave so I rushed an ill-advised shot and of course nailed my blind.

I've got some incredible close-up footage of him though. :)

I'm glad too see that so many are having some success. I went out with a buddy of mine who had never shot a turkey before. I set up our blind, decoys and whatnot. I got him all set up, and called some birds in. we had a gobbler at 30 yards with a hen. I told him to shoot, and he sticks the gun out of the window. The kid was shaking like a leaf. He is my age, but hadn't been in that situation before. I told him to shoot when he is ready, and after about 30 seconds of looking down the barrel, he pulls the gun in. I started to get a bit frustrated and asked him what the heck he was doing. His response was that he got scared. I said "are you going to shoot this bird or not"? and he said no. I tried to be understanding but I'm still not sure what he was scared of. Anyway, it was a nice bird, so I took the gun from him. I put it out the window on my side and made jelly of his head. Well, it wasn't with a bow, but it was a nice bird, and the first nice tom that I have ever killed. I hunted a 7 more times after killing that bird, but I went out by myself with just my bow. I shot at a bird a while after, and my arrow hit the blind material of course. So to summarize, I hunted a good amount and tried like hell, but I couldn't get it done with a stick and string. What I'm getting at is that I'm sorry for being a useless team member.

Though I didn't exactly put up points, I am pleased with the outcome of my season as a whole. I had some great hunts. I have been pretty silent, but checking the thread religiously. Good job team, for carrying me once again. Good luck to everyone out there still hunting! I will post a picture of my bird later just because.
