I was feeling lazy last weekend and wanted to do something quick with one of the turkey breasts off the bird I shot. Queue the slow cooker! I've done a similar recipe with chicken before and it works equally as well with wild turkey. Ingredients: 1 x 12 to 16 ounce jar of salsa 2 x cans of condensed Nacho cheese soup 1 x packet of dry ranch dressing mix Cooking steps: Season wild turkey breast with 1/2 of the ranch dressing mix (basically use it as a rub) Mix remaining dressing mix, salsa and cheese soup mix together Throw it all in the slow cooker Cook on low for 8 hours Shred meat when finished cooking Now throw that on a tortilla with a little sour cream, some shredded cheese and chopped onions and you're in business. Quick, easy and tasty.
No turkey in the freezer but I'm gonna try that with chicken. Thanks for sharing! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
