Looks like I'm heading back to the Mathews family. Always loved my HTR and got another one on the way. Really had a love hate relationship with the Obsession and sometimes when I love it, it hates me. When it's on, it's wonderful - then sometimes I work on it more than I shoot it.
2nd this!!! I had never shot one, picked up a prime rival super cheap and I like it better than my halon x
I came REAL close to buying a Prime Rival when I bought the Obsession. If I had, I might still be shooting it. I think a LOT of companies make a great bow and I could be happy with most any of them. I'm very familiar with Mathews and the dealer network around me is plentiful. Plus there's something about the HTR that has just been my favorite bow. Always shot it better. I have a Mathews dealer 7.1 miles from me and although I'm not crazy about the work they do, I can go buy a part in a pinch down the road. My main dealer is 41 miles from my home but only 15 from my office. I liked Obsession because I could call directly to Obsession without going thru a go between and get something done. The company has really changed and of the 3 dealers in my state, all three dropped. The closest one to me was actually in KY but I live kinda close to the line and they dropped as well.
I personally love Mathews too. I have tried other brands, but always seem to come back.. they are all fantastic, just seems the Mathews and I fit better.
I have had the Mathews chill r since it came out and I still am in love with it. I'm planning on using this bow for a few more years before I upgrade to a newer Mathews. Best brand of bow I have shot.
