    I'm trying to find out when arrows shafts came on the open market with pre inserted inserts. And which company sold them. I know Easton made the first aluminum shafts and let pro shooters use them to advertise them, but none of the articles about them said anything about being able to switch from one tip to another.

    no, but thanks, that was just a different type of improvement, so far the oldest patent I found belongs to Chandler Tommie B who filed in 1940, but I'm more interested in when they first began selling in stores to use by the general public, not when they were invented.
