Looks healthy now...Seems like just a matter of time before she gets one of her feet stuck in it trying to get it off. Is it wire or some kind of netting?
I don't know your level of concern but you could see if the GW (or if you know someone with a dart gun) could come out and dart it and remove it. Just a thought.
She knows where the feeder is, I think she will be fine. I will shoot her next fall if I get a bonus tag.
I do fret over my does and fawns they are well fed and watered, fresh clover plots. Hate to see them suffer.
Our vet is so damn busy he has little time or concern for a deer. I will keep a camera on her she does not seem to be suffering, when I first saw her she was in the pasture running off another does fawn off her patch of clover.
I think it's interesting the CO wants nothing to do with it...what else does he have going on right now??
I think she has freed herself of the wire. I have been working late at the fire base so I don't get home to feed until 7. Walking out I have been seeing the herd running all over and no doe with the wire. I do have to admit that the last time I swapped out chips I discovered that I neglected to turn the camera back on.
They are live bait for the deer I want to shoot. I get the same thrill shooting a doe as I do butchering a chicken.
