Anyone have trouble mounting a Quad Ultra Rest to an Elite bow?

What kind of problems are you having? Are you running out of horizontal and or vertical adjustments?

Horizontal, I moved the arms to the left far as it will go. Now they are out past the capture bar.

Just found out there is a spacer block that you can install and move the whole housing to the left. I got my Quad Hdx 2nd hand and didn't have anything but the rest itself. I'm new to this but I'm learning, now to find a spacer block.

You can just call QAD Customer Service/Warranty and they will send you one and more than likely they will not even charge you for it. They have great customer service.

If you have a local pro shop they might have some of those laying around. When some of the shops install or set up bows for customers and their bow does not require the spacer they just throw them in a drawer and may let you have one. I did not know that the Elite bows needed one but I do know that a lot of the Hoyts require them and so did my Bear Motive-6.

Yeah and something else I just found out is where the set screw is on the Quad is right over a hollow spot on my Elite Energy. I guess don't haft to have it but would feel better if it did.

I never use the set screw. I just hate how they dig into the riser and scratch it up and for some reason that drives me crazy. I just take a pencil once the rest has been set and tuned and I outline the rest, that way if it comes loose I know exactly where it goes.

That's a good ideal! Does it still hold good without the set screw?

I do use the set screw on the QAD rest. understand not wanting the finish on the riser dinged but it's under the arrow rest bracket so I'll never see it. what I really don't want to happen is the shot of a lifetime get screwed up because my rest decides at that point its time to move.

I just use a small drop of the BLUE Colored REMOEVABLE Lock-Tight on the mounting screw and I have never had any rest to come loose. Just make sure that you use the BLUE Lock-Tight because it can be removed easily.
