Excuse my ignorance but I've received two trade offers on my Stan JustX and both were hinges. How do they work? If your bow is set on say 65# you set it to go off at 67# for the pull thru? I'm in the dark and have no idea. I see the meme of the guy with the broken nose mostly when hinge threads come up.
On this one you click the safety off and rotate your wrist and that makes it go off, its hooked on a separate block and when you rotate it, it slowly slides and when the hinge slides off thats when it goes off like, it took practice, study the release and fiddle with it, i promise itll make your first time shooting it ten times more comfortable, i was uncomfortable at first l, but then I fiddled and studied and was a lot more comfortable Sent from my SM-G920V using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
@****ensCPA I have not shot a hinge release but i shoot a thumb release and use it like a hinge release to trigger it. If im not mistaken hinge releases arent set with a draw weight they are just hinged. When you hook it on and have the handle perpendicular to the string it is engaged. At a certain point when pulling through or rotating the outside fingers the hinge will "break" when the angle is right. The hitting the nose thing occurs when you dont pull it straight back and rotate it a little to much causing it to go off.
