I have a Bear charge and I turned it out 4 turns and my scale says it is at 55lbs.Shouldnt it go 50 to 60?The limbs should be 40-50,50-60,60-70 correct?

3 sets of limbs. Each has a 10# weight adjustment. 40-50 50-60 60-70 Which set do you have? You can turn them all the way in and check DW. I should max out at about 60 or 70, depending on limbs. Then 10# down from there is safe to shoot. If Bears says 4 of turns from max, use that as a minimum. Most people do not have a scale. My guess is you have a 70# bow. And is Bears says 4 turns down max you are good. Mathews says "5 turns from max - approximately 10#. Also many scale are different/inaccurate. I had a buddy going crazy, twisting string/cable for days. He could get only get 68# out of his bow. I put on my scale it. It read 73.
