I shoot a single pin slider on both of my bows. However I hunt public land for turkey without a blind. Do you guys switch to a multi pin sight when turkey hunting? I'm not sure that if one comes up at a different yardage I will be able to move to adjust the sight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
How far will you shoot at a turkey? Over 25 yards? Not me, quite a small kill zone. I prefer 20 yards. I see no need for more than one pin at that range. Even if you shoot 30, I would set your pin at 25 and learn where to hold.
As mentioned above. I have an HHA slider and thats what I do. I too do not use a blind when bowhunting turkeys so I understand the not being able to move thing. I will set my site dead on at 25 yards and then shoot at other ranges to know where I'll hit. That way all your adjustments are mental when the bird comes in.
I shoot a CBE Tek Hybrid Pro 2016 model with a single up-pin set at 20. Last season I killed deer from 8 to 31 without moving my pin setting. On a turkey size animal that is prone to quick movement, I would plan on keeping your shots at 25 and under.....best if under.
